Ambassador Girl Scout Way Badge Activity

Interview a Global Citizen

Share sisterhood on a truly global level

Activity Details

Time needed:  1–2 hours

Materials needed: A computer or phone

Activity: All the girls and women who are Girl Scouts try to live by the Girl Scout Law. That’s what makes us a Girl Scout sisterhood—our Law unites us. Use the Law’s ten important lines to get closer to women and girls around the world.

Interview a global citizen. Find a woman in an international career field (maybe a pilot, hotel staffer, international banker or teacher, naval officer, or translator) who is from another country or has lived abroad. Learn all about her job by interviewing her via phone, video chat, or email. Discuss the ways her job embodies—or could embody—the Girl Scout Law. Share what you’ve learned creatively; perhaps in an online article or social media post, in a career collage you keep by your desk for inspiration, or through an online “world thinking” careers discussion with your peers.

Congratulations! You've successfully completed one of the steps in earning the Girls are Superheroes patch. Learn more about what to do next.

Troop Leaders:  The instructions for all badge steps are available free of charge in your  Girl Scout Volunteer Toolkit.

Girl Scouts at Home activities have been adapted from existing Girl Scout programming and optimized for use at home during a period of social distancing.

Adapted from step 3 of the Ambassador Girl Scout Way Badge. This activity is part of the Superhero Girl Scouts Patch. Visit the Girls are Superheroes page to complete all requirements and earn the patch.
