GSUSA is proud to partner with Morgan Stanley to promote girls’ financial literacy. Morgan Stanley is sponsoring the creation of GSUSA’s Family Financial Literacy event toolkits, aligned with GSUSA’s existing financial literacy badges, containing customizable materials councils can use to host events. The overarching goal of these events is to help girls understand how to manage their personal finances and give parents the tools and confidence they need to be able to practice these learnings with their girls at home. By engaging girls and their families together through age-appropriate, hands-on activities, we can help empower girls to take control of their financial futures. Both Girl Scouts and Morgan Stanley recognize the importance of laying the foundation for financial literacy at a young age. With Morgan Stanley’s support, we’ll continue to provide girls with the skills they need to become business leaders in their own lives and the world.

Seven grant-funded councils have teamed up with their local Morgan Stanley office to host Family Financial Literacy community events. These community events are geared towards Junior Girl Scouts, working towards their Business Owner badge, and Cadette Girl Scouts working towards their Financing My Dreams badge. The Family Financial Literacy event toolkits will be used for these events, and are also available to all 111 councils for future events.
